Photo Library
The photo collection includes images of all types of monuments from the Greek and Roman period mainly found in Italy.
Archives / Collections
The archives house the estates of important archaeologists, the letters of scholars and original drawings mainly from the 19th century.
Publications
The ?Mitteilungen des Deutschen Archäologischen Instituts, Römische Abteilung?, appears yearly and the ?Ergänzungshefte?, ?Sonderschriften?, ?Palilia?, Monographien, ?Bilderhefte? and monographs in periodic series. The various publications of the Rome Department provide the editorial work.

DAI Events
Scholarly lectures are held for special audiences twice a year on a regular basis (on Winckelmann Day and on the day of the Palilia Festival), official public addresses at greater intervals, as well as academic colloquia and small exhibitions.
For a wider audience, tours of Rome and its vicinity are offered.
The Pompeii Course, a traditional endeavor of the Rome Department, is an intensive course for high school (Gymnasium) teachers on the archaeological monuments of the cities in the vicinity of Vesuvius.
