Rückschau auf das Sommerfest 2009 des DAI Kairo

Am 29.09.09 lud das DAI Kairo zu seinem traditionellen Sommerfest im Institutsgarten ein. Ehrengast der Feier war Friederike Seyfried, die neue Direktorin des Berliner Ägyptischen Museums. Anlässlich des Geburtstages von Georg Erbkam, des Architekten und Vermessers der Königlich Preußischen Ägyptenexpedition (1842-1845), sowie des Starts von AEgArOn, eines neuen DFG-finanzierten Projekts der Abteilung, hielt Ulrike Fauerbach einen kurzen Festvortrag. Anschließend genossen Partner, Kollegen und Mitarbeiter der Abteilung Speis & Trank, Musik und nette Gesellschaft.

The German Archaeological Institute (DAI) is a »scientific corporation« of the Federal Institution under the auspices of the Foreign Office. The staff of the Institute carries out research in the area of archaeology and in related fields and maintains relations with international scholars.
Furthermore, it organizes congresses, colloquia and tours, and informs the public through the media about its work.
