Questions regarding the protection of cultural heritage and site management play a central role by now in archaeology worldwide. Within the framework of research projects, they can only be approached in a promising way by means of international co-operations and the raising of third-party funds. The German Archaeological Institute is therefore happy to announce that, with Dr. Friedrich Lüth, an outstanding colleague will be joining a respective, newly to be founded section at the Head Office in Berlin.
As First Director of the Roman-Germanic Commission in Frankfurt, Dr. Friedrich Lüth has not only advanced with great success international networks in the area of archaeological research collaborations with numerous third-party funding projects but also, not least in his function as President European Association of Archaeologists (EAA), the international debate on questions regarding cultural heritage.
From 1st November, he will bring his skills into the German Archaeological Institute as a whole.
