Peer review process as quality assurance
All DAI publications, whether published by the DAI headquarters or the individual departments, are subject to a peer review process that ensures discerning scientific and academic standards.
Articles submitted for our journals are assessed by international experts. This peer review is anonymous and supported by the respective committee. The editorial boards of the respective publication check whether the submitted articles fulfill all formal requirements. Articles that do not meet the academic/scientific or formal standards will either be returned with a request for revision or rejected.
Manuscripts submitted as parts of a serial publication or anthology or as monographs will also be subject to a review process in which international experts assess formal and academic/scientific criteria. Only manuscripts that meet DAI's formal and academic/scientific quality standards will be submitted to our Executive Committee ("Zentraldirektion"), which will base its decision to accept or reject the manuscript based on the experts assessment. Articles that do not meet the academic/scientific or formal standards will either be returned with a request for revision or rejected.
