Projekt zu den Decken und Dachwerken der Moschee-Kathedrale von Córdoba genehmigt

We are very happy to announce that the German Research Foundation (DFG) has approved funding for the 3-year-project “The ceilings and roof structures of the Mosque-Cathedral of Córdoba: Decoration, construction, and structural history of the oldest extensive collection of roof timbers in Europe.” A team of the Universities of Braunschweig and Bamberg as well as the DAI Madrid will document all existing elements of the roof structure and analyze the decoration, painting and dendrochronology. We are grateful to the Cabildo Catedral de Córdoba for the possibility to conduct this project and for the close cooperation in the scientific investigation of the monument.

Nos complace anunciar que la Fundación Alemana de Investigación (DFG) ha aprobado la financiación del proyecto «Los techos y armaduras de la Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba: decoración, historia de la construcción y la técnica de construcción del conjunto más antiguo y extenso de vigas de madera de Europa». En los próximos 3 años un equipo de las universidades de Braunschweig y Bamberg, así como del DAI Madrid, documentará todos los elementos existentes de la estructura del tejado y analizará la decoración, la pintura y la dendrocronología.
