The Ground Beneath Society - 21st-23rd October

We are delighted to host the conference “The Ground Beneath Society,” organized by Dario Monti (UCLouvain) and Diego Suárez Martínez (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid).

The conference aims to foster a comparative dialogue between research traditions focusing on the Italian and Iberian peninsulas and explores the interaction of environmental conditions and cultural practices in shaping societies during the first millennium BC.
Contributions are particularly welcome that situate their case studies within a broader comparative framework and address themes such as settlement systems, mobility and connectivity, economic strategies, and processes of cultural negotiation.
