Results of the recent excavations at Qantir

Dr. Henning Franzmeier is a researcher at the Roemer und Pelizaeus-
Museum at Hildesheim (Germany). He is director of the Qantir excavation project and has worked since his university years extensively on this site, which was identified as the ancient Egyptian capital of Pi-Ramesse, founded in the New Kingdom. As an Egyptologist and archaeologist Dr. Franzmeier covers a wide range of subjects including pottery studies, mortuary archaeology, scientific chronology but also the history of Egyptology.
