Profile
The image archive at the DAI Cairo department holds over 550,000 images in various formats in both digital and analogue form. Since the reopening of the institute in 1957, the image collection has been under continuous expansion.

Services
The Cairo photo archive primarily serves the institute's own publishing projects. Requests for permission to reproduce DAIK images can be made. The employees of the photo archive may process specific image requests (see order form – photo archive) and electronically send digital formats in print quality. However, the Cairo Department does not carry out research tasks with regard to specific images or image topics.
