Internship - Scholarship - Summer School

Internships

The Commission for Archaeology of Non-European Cultures offers internships in the archive:

  • Voluntary career-oriented internship.
  • Voluntary internship to accompany your career or studies.
  • Compulsory internship (proof required).

The length of the internship can be up to 12 weeks. A fundamental interest in the study of non-European cultures is expected.

Research grants

At the Commission for Archaeology of Non-European Cultures of the German Archaeological Institute, research grants can be awarded for limited independent research projects. The scholarships must be related to projects or specific research questions of the German Archaeological Institute.

Research grants are advertised according to availability. Please note the current calls for applications and find out about the exact conditions before applying.

Summer Schools

Since 2020, HTW Dresden has been organizing a summer school "Computer- and Geoscience in Archaeology" in cooperation with the Commission for Archaeology of Non-European Cultures and the Mongolian National University. Applied methods and technologies from computer science, geoinformation and remote sensing in archaeology will be taught in workshops and excursions. The Summer School is aimed at international students of archaeology.
