This investigation is dedicated to the analysis of ceramic inventories from Upper Egypt and Nubia, spanning the periods from the late Old Kingdom to the Middle Kingdom of pharaonic Egypt. The central focus lies on the synthesis of archaeological material from settlements and necropolises derived from both recent and older excavations, with a particular emphasis on chronological research questions. Consequently, the resulting interactions between pharaonic Egypt and the Middle Nubian cultures are subjected to a re-evaluation.
